Make Way For The Positive Day

I make it my monthly duty to rummage through the pages of practically every magazine out there to find my favourite articles and outfit ideas for my inspiration binder
I was feeling pretty tired from my long walk this morning so I opted to wear my most comfortable pair of Citizen's of Humanity jeggings and two major staple pieces in my closet - a white blouse, and my favourite jean vest with a dash of red lipstick.
For the past month or so I have made many big and better changes to my life. It's an incredibly rewarding feeling when you achieve your goals, whether it may be to eat healthier and exercise more, clean out your closet, spend more time with family, stop procrastinating homework (eeek) or to make even the slightest changes like...get 8 hours of sleep, go for a walk each day, read a book, make a new friend, listen to new music, be on time, or save your money so you can purchase those Alexander Wang pumps that you can't get off of your mind...
Whatever YOUR changes may be, make them positive ones.
Set goals and YOU will see a difference in the way you live your life.

Oscar Round-Up

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Sunset Tower Hotel
Can't get over how stunning Jessica Chastain looked in McQueen, absolutely flawless
I was hoping to see Michelle Williams come out of her usual comfort zone and she definitely did just that in this beautiful Louis Vuitton peplum gown
Gwyneth Paltrow in all white Tom Ford...and a cape! Amazing.
Kate Bosworth in Prabal Gurung...need I say more?
Selena Gomez in Dolce & Gabbana
I'm normally not a huge fan of Miley Cyrus' red carpet looks...but both herself and her arm-candy looked incredibly sharp last night. Love this embroidered Roberto Cavalli on her.
The Beckhams looking as chic as ever.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham never go unnoticed in my books.

Warm Me Up

Current/Elliot jeans, Zara jacket (similar style here), Club Monaco tank, Vintage bag, American Eagle booties, H&M scarf
I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! I spent the past couple of days getting lots of stuff done that I have procrastinated on for waaaay too long now. It's such a relief when you can finally check some of the never-ending"To-Do's"off of your list once and for all. I can't believe how cold it's been lately, so my attempt to snap a few photos today was short-lived before I ran into Starbucks for a cozy latte to warm me up.
ps - Who do YOU think will be best-dressed tonight!?

One Year Older

Although this week was insanely busy with non-stop places to go and people to see...I turned eighteen on Wednesday! Like I've said before, I never really go too crazy when it comes to birthday celebrations as I would much rather just keep it low-key and spend quality time with family and friends. So staying with tradition, I went out for a lovely dinner with my family, did a little shopping (I finally bought the leopard Current/Elliot 'stiletto' skinnies that I have been drooling over for months!), ate way too much cake for my own good, treated myself to a pastel manicure, and got a tattoo! A little pink bow on my wrist seemed very suitable for many reasons, and I couldn't be happier to look down each day and constantly be reminded of the things I love most in life.

The month of February is one of my absolute favourites for many reasons...we celebrate Valentine's Day, Oscar season, a few of my closest friends birthdays, my birthday (!!!) and most importantly Fashion Week ;)
Every year I never actually feel like it's my birthday due to all of the other excitement that has already happened, but this year will be different. I hope to spend lots of time with the ones I love and celebrate in style! Which is what brings me to my hint hint, wink wink birthday wishlist! These are a few things that have been at the top of my list for months now and would happily welcome into my closet any day. One of these day's the neon PS1 will be mine, all mine...until then, it doesn't hurt for the birthday girl to dream, right?

The streets have never looked so good

We all know how I feel about street style, and new york fashion week surely never fails to bring out the best. If I were given the opportunity to raid anyone's closet it would have to be Taylor Tomasi Hill's...she always looks so major, no matter the occasion *sigh*

Missing In Action

Ahhhhh!!! I can't believe how long it has been since my last deepest apologies (once again - ughhh life seems to be taking OVER)! I have been so incredibly busy with school lately that it seems as though I barely even have time to focus on the one thing that I am so incredibly passionate about. From this point on, I am going to do my absolute best to blog as often as possible, hopefully more than 3 times a month...eeek. This week is super exciting in the fashion world and I have been soaking up every single minute of nyfw that I possibly can. More than once, I have found myself practically drooling over my desktop. Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, Prabal Gurung, Altuzarra and Jill Stuart are among my favourites so far - such stunning collections.
Here are a few other things that have me smiling from ear to ear right now...
